What do you consider “excellent education”?

An excellent education is like a strong building, whereas every part palys a vitol role. At the bottom, there is a solid foundation of positive relationships between teachers and learners that provides a sense of connection and support. The structure grows more complex with the pillars of a challenging curriculum, engaging instructional practices, effective assessments, and thought-provoking reflection; that grow the learner in a variety of experiences. At the top, there is a shelter of faith/character training that provides the learner with tools to shield against the trials of the world.

What is the most important thing you want to pass along to your students?

The most important thing that I want to pass onto my students is the ability to assess themselves accurately rather than compare themselves to others. This ability helps them to identify their own personal strengths and areas of improvement in a wide variety of situations and settings.

What is your favorite memory or experience in ISW?

My favorite experience at ISW is seeing my own children learning and playing with a ethnically diverse group of students.

What is something unique you want others to know about yourself?

Something unique about me is that I was adopted at the age of two. I was born in Chennai, India, as an orphan and moved to America to live with my adoptive family. Being adopted has blessed me in many ways, with the greatest being a desire to move back to overseas.
