Welcome to our 2017-2018 school year! This year will be our biggest year ever. We have more students, more great programs, and more excellent teachers than we have ever had. As we move into ISW’s second decade of operation, we want to share why we are so excited to be apart of this family.
Before anything else, we love being part of ISW because we love students. As the faculty and administration of our school, we spend incredible amounts of time and effort ensuring that this school is the best it can possibly be for them. Your incredible students are what makes that work meaningful and we are so grateful for the opportunity to be with these wonderful young people every day. This year, we have more students than we’ve ever had and we have recruited some wonderful new staff members to ensure that we are ready to offer the same excellent educational opportunities that we always have and even improve them.
We also love ISW because of our colleagues. Our team members, from the veterans to the rookies, are not just qualified and competent, they are also incredibly giving and a pleasure to work with. This year, we have the largest class of new faculty since the founding of our school. They will not just help us grow but help us grow the right way, by ensuring that we maintain our focus on what makes students progress and grow. We are confident that we have an outstanding cadre of educators that will take our students to new heights of academic achievement.
Finally, we love being a part of ISW because it is an innovative and forward thinking community. Based on the feedback that we have received from our students, parents, and staff, we are implementing several new programs that will keep us on education’s cutting edge.
Here are a few of those programs:
- We are expanding our English language learning program so that we can serve students from a more diverse range of English ability.
- We have adjusted our daily schedule so that we can accommodate learning opportunities that extend beyond traditional subjects to great extra curricular activities like Robotics and Model United Nations.
- Our athletics department was on the forefront of establishing a local league of teams that will allow our students more opportunities to compete and grow as athletes than ever before.
- We are forming a Parent Advisory Council to ensure that parent feedback is heard and acted on where appropriate.
All this combined makes it a wonderful time to be a Wildcat! Again, we are so grateful to our ISW family for making this community one that has welcomed and loved so many and we are excited for what the future holds. If you have any questions about ISW please contact our admissions team.
